This beautiful collection is all about Scotland. Our baker will be found wearing her apron in the Cunningham clan tartan (mother's side). Each confection was chosen to celebrate traditional ingredients, true to the flavours of bonnie Scotland's highlands and lowlands.
This special assortment box is the perfect addition to any Robbie Burns feast. We hope it will enjoyed at many a large and raucous gathering in honour of the greatest chieftain o' the puddin' race. It's only available in January, but a few items can be ordered separately year-round (*see below).
Here's what you'll find in each box:
~ A Heather Honeycake in the shape of a curling stone, stuffed with the flavours of Cranachan: sweet raspberry and honey-glazed oats with a hint of Bourbon.
~ Parlies (Parliament Cakes): dark treacle biscuits stuffed with highland strawberry custard
~ Pig Bagpipers: an ancient Gaelic image in a rich Whiskey-flavoured Butter Cookie
~ Scottish Chocolate Biscuits: thick, brownie-like cookies topped with molded chocolate in the flavours of toffee, bourbon and berry
~ Traditional Shortbread (of course), made with grass-fed sea-salted butter. You'll get several wedges of the Edinburgh classic - a thin hand-thrown dough baked to a golden crisp and painted in tartan, along with a round of the traditional Highlands version of buttery goodness, bearing the rampant lion.
~ More pieces in a sweet dough with a hint of scotch whiskey, pressed with traditional images and beautifully hand-painted.
~ And on the savoury side, we have to include Scottish Oat & Walnut Biscuits, glazed w/ heather honey and highland spices, in honour of The Land o' Cakes.
We've pulled out our best Scottish themed molds for the occasion: the rampant lion, bagpipers, thistles, stags and tartan-tipped Glengarrys and pipes. You'll even find the elusive Nessie in the box!
